Program Description:
How can you be an emotionally intelligent and vulnerable leader? How can you take action in your life around sexism, patriarchy, and racism?
Men are being called on to change, evolve, and transform the ways that we show up as leaders in our businesses and the world. The MeToo Movement and Black Lives Matter have called on Men to address sexism, patriarchy, toxic masculinity, and racism and dismantle old patterns of domination and control, emotional detachment, rigid hierarchy, and entrenched power.
Within this group, we'll embark on a collective journey to align with our purpose, tapping into our inner reservoirs of power and grounding. We will co-create a space that encourages vulnerability and the open sharing of emotions, recognizing the profound impact of emotional intelligence on enhancing our personal and professional lives.
Discover the strength that arises when like-minded men collaborate and support one another, committed to dismantling outdated structures and embracing a new paradigm of conscious leadership and positive masculinity. This workshop is an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue, foster personal growth, and collectively contribute to a positive and transformative shift in how we lead and impact the world around us.
Payment agreement and scholarships
Conscious Revolution is a Benefit Corporation and a Certified B Corp. Your financial support is making an impact.
Most programs have a set fee. In the case of sliding scale programs, we ask you to consider: What is the right amount for you? What are your financial means? Can you offer more so another person can join offerings in the Conscious Leadership Community? The majority of the program fee goes to paying facilitators to compensate for their contributions. Excess funds, if any, support making our future programs and events accessible to all those who would like to attend regardless of their ability to pay.
We do not want anyone to be turned away due to lack of resources and we intend for our offerings to be accessible to all leaders. We are also committed to fostering a community that is diverse and balanced. Need-based scholarships are typically reserved for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ folks and applicants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
We do our best to find agreeable solutions for all, and though we cannot accommodate every request, we will always do our best, so please let us know what you may need.

Jonah Fertig Burd (he/him)
For the past two decades, I've been on a journey of co-creating interconnected transformations rooted in love and liberation. I've played a key role in nurturing cooperatives, nonprofit organizations, grassroots projects, and community spaces. From developing regenerative cooperative economies to fostering conscious leadership, my work is rooted in the power of shared vision and collaboration. In 2023, I launched InterRooted to provide co-creative consulting, facilitation and coaching to individuals, business, organizations, networks and cooperatives in Maine and beyond. Inspired by the wisdom of ecosystems and community, I've focused on creating spaces where power is shared, people are honored, and collective liberation is nurtured. These spaces have fostered people connecting in love and discovering their life's calling, and the blossoming of inspired possibilities. Bringing my heart, body, and mind to the table, I work to get things done while engaging in heart-centered participatory processes. I am a father to two teenagers, a husband, son and brother. I live and work at Celebration Tree Farm & Wellness Center in Durham and steward the land. I have been engaged in my own journey around dismantling patriarchy, sexism and racism in myself, in organizations and in systems for the past 20 years. I have facilitated Men’s Groups over the last two years and am excited to share this work with more Conscious Men.

I inhabit a body of color (Black, mixed-raced, abled-body) and reside on unceded land of the Wabanaki Confederacy in a town now called Freedom with his sweetheart, Erika. I am the Director of Grants for Change at Maine Initiatives. I bring a life-long commitment to collaboration, a passion for creative and embodied practice, and a resolute belief in the need for deep solidarity with those most vulnerable among us. I come to Maine Initiatives from The Cooperative Development Institute where I focused on organizing affordable housing cooperatives across New England and also served on the Board of Directors. Prior to moving to Maine, and after briefly working with housing cooperatives in Washington, D.C., I was an artist / organizer in the Bay Area for many years. Most prominently, I was Co-Director for ‘These Walls Speak’, a multi-year, participatory research, documentary project that examines the politics of place, community resistance, and the power of artist expression in the Mission District of San Francisco. I feel incredibly nourished by this place called Maine, and am thrilled to begin working with Maine Initiatives.
